Kerry was only eleven when her parents divorced. She longed for attention and it did not take her very long to figure out how to get it - by using her body to lure boys and men. Kerry's mother left home to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. Her father smoked pot and did not provide any supervision. Kerry was, more or less, free to come and go as she pleased often taking trips to New York with her friends to meet boys.

At such a young age, Kerry did not understand the difference between love and sex. She ended up going down this destructive road even though deep in her heart she was aware it was very wrong.

Once Kerry attended college, she discovered that she had a passion for something else - writing. This gave her something more in life - a new center to place her focus. This is not to say that she quit wanting the attention of men - not yet. Finally, Kerry did meet someone and was able to find real love.

This is a disturbing story of a young girl's path to promiscuity. There is plenty of talk about sex in this book but it is not the type you might imagine when you look at the title. The author gives the reader an enormous amount of detailed description to make them see what Kerry was going through on her road to destruction. This is an engrossing, well-written read about a person trying to find her way out of a life of addiction. The author tells it like it is - honest and holding nothing back. This book might even make a few women look back and say "That sounds like me". Be sure to add Loose Girl to your reading list.
